Communicating with God

When it comes to pray, we all use human language to translate what we want to say to God.

What else can we use?
Hmm...well...before I answer this one, I'd like to raise another question.
Has it been really effective for your pray?

Because we all know that sometimes we can't express all of our thoughts and emotions only by human language due to its limited array of vocabularies and expressions, we want to come up with a better mean to communicate with God, especially when we want to make sure he understands what we really mean.

What else can we use? ...Imagination!

We can't perhaps talk to someone else through our own imagination but we can definitely use it to talk to God because God is not limited to any communication means like us, human beings.

The imiagination also clearly illustrates even the most abstract things in our minds. Indeed, it's a very powerful tool. It's just hard to express something in minds. So we need a practice!

A Drill
*********************************************************************************
Locate yourself in a quiet room with a lit candle, in front of your favorite statue of Jesus, relax (kneeling is not necessary if not comfy) and close your eyes imagining lovely Jesus.

If having a hard time to imagine Him, then you should take an alternative way to visualize Him.

Think of a small but beautiful garden with your favorite fruit grove and also a little kid, about 3 years old (hope you like kids) chuckling and running around the garden. There is a father who keeps his eyes on his little child all the time with smile. The father is God and Jesus.

Once you can imagine Him, you can convey anything in your mind through your powerful imagination.

Good luck with your pray!!!
